WEBSITE: Album Cover

I wanted to create an album cover for my website to help promote my artists music. I started with this image of my artist and put it into Procreate so I could edit it.

First, I edited out some of the lines in the background to make it more simplistic, and then I started adding a design around the main image. I used a repeated pattern around the main image featuring colours from the photo - black, white, and a pop of red. Next, I added the title of the album 'Boys Will Be Bugs' - in the same style text as in the music video (digital convergence), and I added a white outline. This is what it looked like.

I wasn't very happy with this design originally, since the text was too hard to read (even when I changed it to white), and it looked too crowded, but I did want to keep the repeated pattern design around my main image. To make it less crowded, I removed the text from the top, made the main image larger, and the surrounding design smaller. I also moved the text onto the image so it was easier to read.

This is the final result, and I'm very happy with it. It's less crowded, I like the colour palette, and the text is a lot easier to read.

These are some merchandise photos I made for my website. I used pictures of my artist and edited some designs I had made onto his t shirts. Since the artist is the one wearing the merchandise it should give fans a sense of connection with the artist, and encourage them to buy the merch. I used the app Procreate to edit all of the pictures.

This is my first edit for my website. Although it doesn't feature much at the moment, it gives an idea of the layout I'm going for (music video at the top of the homepage, followed by pictures and promotion for the new album). Eventually, I will be adding merchandise pictures and other things to the homepage, and I will be making a second page about the artist.
